Came here for a Red Letter Day set menu. Food was very nice, though the menu is very limited. Only 3 types of Pizza and all very basic. The sticky toffee pudding dessert was very nice though.
Quick bite to eat late afternoon, naturally quite quiet for 4.30. Service was good. My king prawn and v salmon risotto was expensive, but the flavour of my daughter's penne pasta with chicken and pancetta in a gorgonzola sauce was outstanding.
i have never had this before! I was told I was not allowed to order a beer if I didnt buy a main meal ?? Even though I had ordered two starters ? I was only told this rule after I had already ordered my pint! Therefore even though I was eating food, I was not allowed my beer and had to swap it for a Pepsi, because I did not feel hungry enough to order a main meal. If somebody had told me this stupid rule at the beginning when i sat down with my Mrs i wouldnt have ordered anything! Instead I would have walked away and gone to another place without this ridiculous rule and not waste my one hour lunch break at Prezzo! Upon ordering my beer I should have been asked if I was ordering a main - not allowed to order the beer and have it in front of me tempting my tastebuds to then have it taken away from me like a child
Went as a group of 4. All our plates were cold, chicken mains were overcooked and dry and sticky toffee pudding was served cold. However, the waiter was brilliant and immediately dealt with these and our other requests hence 4 stars rather than 3. Non-intrusive service but there when needed.
First and last time I will go there. Firstly we had to hang around by the door with a load of people to wait to be seated at a table for two even though we had booked and there was a table free. It took an hour for our starters to arrive and a further hour for our main meal. I didn't even bother with the dessert that I was really looking forward to as I didn't want to wait another hour. I couldn't even let the time pass by sipping a nice glass of wine or two being pregnant. We were ignored. Everyone else had to wait the same amount of time it was such a joke the people on the table behind cheered when our main meal eventually came up. We were told they had different chefs that weren't used to their kitchen and so there is a delay, well yeah I think we had already assumed there was a delay having waited an hour already! If they had just explained to people when they arrived and given them the choice when they came in if they wanted to wait. And for the people that waited as long as us they could have as a good will gesture taken something off the bill but by not handling the situation I think unfortunately they lost a lot of custom after last night
