This Travelodge promised so much, but.....The car park is poorly signed, not lined out and very uneven am muddy.The was a curious smell in the corridor outside my room, I can't be sure but it was like someone was smoking something illicit in their room. Staff were passing by and appeared to ignore both the smoking in the building and the possibility of what we being smoked.The bar served beers from the can, not draught. Had I realised this I would have brought my own. Positives - comfy bed, clean towels, friendly staff.
I would have given 5 stars as the staff were great but the place is so tatty and the stair well was filthy. Location is a bit remote but there is a bar and restaurant in desperate need of new furniture
Had a wonderful stay. Really friendly staff. Receptionist Katrina was extremely helpful when she had to serve me at the bar. Tim did a lovely pizza. Couldnt ask for more
Good location near Stansted airport. Also a short drive into bishops Stortford. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was clean but the bathroom looked a bit dated with some cracked tiles. Cooked breakfast wasn't great but they have a good selection of fruit and teas and coffees.
The bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable and the bar was reasonably priced. The all you can eat breakfast was very nice.Only down points were a lady being very noisy in her room at 2am and two ladies in the hallway talking very loudly at about the same time.
