Food excellent, service was average and I was quite surprised (it being noted as a family friendly establishment and all) that no one from staff offered to help me with my pram up/down the stairs neither when I arrived or upon departure. I realise they'd probably be doing this all day if they did offer but the difficulty I had getting in/out would probably be enough not to return. Can't fault the food or the rustic charm once inside though!

Lovely little caf with great food. We have a friend who owns a caf in town and so generally eat there, but Rosey Lea is one of the few places that will draw us away. The coffee is good, staff are friendly, and it's tucked away just off the busy high street. It's a nice escape from the crowds, and very reasonably priced as well.My wife and I look forward to many more brunches and lunches at Rosey Lea.

My 1st visit.. Lovely friendly staff, food excellent.. Best scrambled egg's I've had.. Will definitely be visiting again..

My mum & I always pop in here when we're in bishops Stortford, it's a real treat. All of the food & drinks we've had have been especially delicious. I highly recommend their earl Grey tea & Nutella & banana croissants. The staff are lovely & we love how the place is decorated especially the light shades.

Arrived late in the day after long walk in country side - ready for a cuppa !!. Very pleased to see they now have great terrace eating area outside which is lovely (even though located above newly refurbished public conveniences). Our table was efficiently attended, food and drinks swiftly followed. Baked potato with coronation chicken and a toasted sandwich with bacon, brie and cranberry. Both were very tasty and served with side salad coleslaw. Drinks, coffee and milk shake were tasty, you could really taste the ice cream in the milk shake. Toilets were clean of a descent size. Access to Rosey Lea tea room is via a few steps (2 or 3) and the path from the high street is up hill but it's well worth it.
